A large format 3D printed Scale model where a mix of techniques was required. Not your typical Architectural Model, we had to use laser cut parts, hand made elements, and 3d Printed elements from 2 different 3D printers (not all 3d printers are equal)
The finished model was all hand assembled by our Modelmaking team, with spray painted finishes added before packing the entire model suitable for shipping to an exhibition in the USA and back to Ireland where it now sits in the entrance lobby of BAM HQ.
This was one of our most challenging 3D print jobs to date. It required the integration of the 3d Print parts with the laser etch parts and some elements that could not be done by either of these machines (sometimes old school table saws are still the best option). Making sure the end result was a seamless mix of all 3 was a great challenge and the end result was quite the showcase.
